Of Carpets and Rugs

Before we went to Ampang last week, I listed some of the things that I wanted to buy at Ikea and one of it was this black and white rug. I had been eyeing for it since last month but the delivery charges to our place was too expensive so I decided to wait until we came back to Ampang.

I bought few kitchen mats on Shopee before but my husband didn't like it. To be honest, I thought it was as good as in the pictures but in reality the quality was off. So when I bought the Ikea Torslev rug, I was so excited and couldn't wait to go home and start decorating. We planned to return home on Friday but my husband changed his mind, so, we went home on Thursday. Of course I agreed right away haha.

As soon as we arrived, I went straight to the kitchen and placed this rug. I fell in love with it instantly. It gives us the farmhouse kitchen vibe which I adore so much!

For these shelves, I'm still searching for recipe books or anything related to the kitchen, so in the meantime I put these books here. Overall, I am really happy with the results. We've also bought our dining table and two wing chairs for our living area. Once everything is completed downstairs, we'll move to decorating our family area and office.

Since this post is about carpets and rugs, I'd like to share some info about the carpets we bought last month for our living area and kitchen area.

We bought our living area and dining area carpets from Naeem Carpet at Nilai 3. The sales person was very generous to offer us discounts. When we went there, there were so many options available and we chose geometric designs to give our home a modern touch. Alhamdulillah we were very satisfied with the results.

I don't have many tips to share on how to choose your home carpet cause even our carpets were picked by my husband haha. But I think it would be easier to choose if you already have sofas at home. For us, when we bought these carpets, we didn't have a sofa yet. But alhamdulillah it matches with the colours of our living area. I've posted some of the photos on @our.homeinspo Instagram. That's all for now. If you have any questions, feel free to DM me on Instagram. Take care and stay safe everyone!
