Adulthood

Entering the late twenties feels different. I don’t know how to describe the feeling exactly but it doesn’t feel good. In fact, it’s even more challenging. I think I had more fun in my early twenties than I do now. Lol. But one thing I do enjoy is meeting my friends’ new born babies!

Few days ago, I went to visit a friend who had just given birth to her first baby. Recalling the visit, I still can’t believe that she’s now a mother. I feel like pinching myself. I remember we had a few conversations about marriage and motherhood when we were younger. Her dream came true now! I spent two to three hours at her house gossiping about many things! We hadn’t seen each other for almost a year. I didn’t even get a chance to meet her during pregnancy. I guess you can tell how busy I am with works. Baby Erman is the cutest. Masha’Allah. I even brought him a present which I bought a day before. God, I can spend hours in baby shops!

Good, now Aunt Ieka knows where all of her money went.

My cousin also just gave birth to her first child. Baby Khalid has a beautiful nose just like his mother. Very handsome too! I met Baby Khalid for the first time during Ramadan and the second time during Hari Raya. He looked so cute in his Baju Melayu. Masha’Allah. I couldn’t even concentrate on eating because I was so busy focusing on Baby Khalid haha. I think the purest joy is seeing all of my friends’ children and babies. They are so cute.

I’ve also received good news from two of my friends who just got married earlier this year. I cannot wait to meet their babies! May Allah smooth their pregnancy journey and make their delivery easy. Amin. For those who are still waiting, I ask Allah to open His rizq as wide and deep as the ocean for you. Remember that Allah’s delays are not His denials. Everything happens for a reason. Because He is in charge of our life, so trust Him and have faith in everything He’s planning. The more patient you are, the greater the reward. Smile and just enjoy the opportunity granted.

Sending my love to you all.

Take care lovelies!
